As a spiritual community, we seek to follow the teachings of Jesus, who calls us to love one another, to reach out to those who are in need, and to grow deeper in our journey with God. At Westchester UMC, seekers, pilgrims, saints and sinners explore faith and doubt, justice and Jesus, peace and praise, as we journey together in the familiar and mysterious.

Sunday Mornings:

8:00 a.m. - Zoom Breakfast Church
Breakfast Church is informal - we explore scripture through questions and conversation. You are invited to grab a cup of coffee, your lapto
p, computer or smartphone and log in through a Zoom invitation at 8:00 a.m. Please email Pastor Lyda for a Zoom invitation.

10:00 a.m. - In Person Worship

Welcome to an Easter Season in which we will focus on "freedom," whatever that may look like for you and your respective community.  The resurrection is but the beginning of living as "Easter people" who proclaim freedom from the limitations of death-dealing entities.  As disciples of Jesus who are called to freedom in so many ways, we are called to work to eradicate anything that leaves people less free to be fully who they were created by God to be.  It is a journey towards the celebration of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost that will help fuel us, and it is a sense of the abundance we experience "overflowing" from the cup of salvation that is our hope.

Freedom does not exist without freedom for EVERYONE, and for our planet.  Over the next several weeks, we will take our cup of freedom and call on the name of God.  Our new Worship Design Studios worship series, The Cup of Freedom, begins April 27th.

Happenings:

Rhythm & Food - Adults - it's Free!
Rhythm & Food - Adults - feeds body, mind & spirit through a shared meal and recreational music-making, using an evidence-based whole person strategy called HealthRhythms. HealthRhythms promotes community and ensures a healthy non-strenuous workout. Adults are invited to find that center in your soul where your heart is strengthened by joy, celebration, rhythm, and food. Rhythm & Food - Adults takes place every second Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. After our drum circle, we will enjoy a delicious lunch together.  Drums are provided - no experience required - and it’s FREE! Put your hand on your heart - feel the beat - we all have a drum within us!  To RSVP, please CLICK HERE to email Pastor Lyda.
